Ritchie Valens
|
COME ON, LET'S GO! marks the first time all of Valens' recorded material has been collected in one newly re-mastered-for-digital CD box set. According to the CD's Re-issue Producer, these recordings are highlighted by the inclusion of home demos of "Donna," "I've Got A Gal Named Sue" (aka "That's My Little Suzie" and a dozen more (including untitled blues instrumentals) and the entire LIVE AT PACOIMA JR. HIGH, originally issued posthumously on LP [DFLP 1214]. The December 1958 concert was one of the very first "live" rock n' roll recordings ever issued and has long been unavailable in any format. Also featured in the new box set are the mono and stereo Gold Star studio versions of Ritchie's biggest hit "La Bamba," and other studio outtakes, including Ritchie's dialogues with his only producer, Bob Keane. |
